Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had so much fun spending time with our family and eating way too much yummy food. It was great! I love holiday time. I hope that everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner and that your upcoming Christmas celebrations will be merry and bright!!!
The picture of the kids and Uncle Dubby covering their ears was taken because Grandpa said to be ready for the loud train on the "Polar Express" movie. And of course Ryan, aka Uncle Dubby, had to join in on the fun! :) Good Times!

The Official Daniel Beck Album is here!!!

I am so proud of Danny and this fabulous album that I just had to post a notice. I'm so excited for everyone to hear it! You will not be disappointed. If you want to hear snatches of the songs and/or buy the album, you can go to positivemusicanddownloads.com. They have the option of puchasing the CD or else downloading the songs. I hope that everyone is doing well! Love you all!

Madison's Award!!

Maddie won an award for a poem that she wrote and entered in the Reflections contest at school called "Autumn Time". The theme was "WOW" and so she wrote about Fall, her favorite time of year. She is so incredibly talented, this is not the first poem that she has written, but it's the first poem that she has won something for. We are very proud of her! Way to go Maddie!

Autumn Time
By Madison Beck
In Autumn you can feel the sun on your face,
The wind on your cheek, as if in a race.
That soft scented smell that flows through the breeze,
Something whispers in your ear softly murmuring with ease
Saying fall is finally here, I feel so alive
I’m so happy I feel like I could fly!
It makes me go WOW!!
Just thinking about how the leaves change color,
And gently falling down, one after another.
With a chill in the air, and the trees so fair,
It’s like it’s making music everywhere!
I heard people sing and the church bell ring,
I could see beauty in everything!
It makes me go WOW!
With a rustle in the bushes and a feeling so true,
I feel peace and silence, how about you?
When it becomes nighttime, and we go to bed,
I dream good dreams inside my head.
I wake in the morning and go outside,
I look around and what do I find?
I see the grass glistening with morning dew,
Birds soaring through the sky, singing sweet songs too.
I can’t even imagine a better day,
And to know that Autumn is on its way.
So with happiness and joy I give a cheer
To know that fall is finally here! WOW!!

First SNOW!!!

This just happened today. This morning to be exact. We woke up and there was a blizzard outside! Naturally Savannah wanted to go out and play... I think between the snow and the constant Christmas music being played on the radio, I'm gettin' in the mood for the holidays! YAY!! Have fun in the snow everyone!! :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Here are some fun pics of the kids. Madison, our bewitching genie!

HALLOWEEN!!

Happy Halloween everyone! Hope everyone had a great holiday...now bring on Thanksgiving!! :)

Savannah's Birthday!!

Our Big Girl turned 4 years old on October 31st. And she absolutely loves having her birthday on Halloween. She "invited" everyone to wear a costume just for her birthday. Needless to say, she had a ton of fun. How can you go wrong...presents, candy and dress-ups all in one day! Savannah is so much fun to be around. Everyday she says or does something that makes us laugh so hard our guts hurt! She is getting so big. We are so happy that she is apart of our family! Happy Birthday, Vannah!!!

I want to congratulate Matt and Rachel on their newest addition. Elizabeth Katherine Beck was born yesterday October 23. She weighed in at 9 lbs. 2 oz. and 22 inches long. She is a gorgeous little girl and we are so happy that she is plump and healthy! :) We love you, Matt and Rach! We wish we were there...kiss that baby for us! ;)

Bryce Canyon National Park

We had so much fun this last weekend for fall break. We took the kids to Bryce Canyon for 3 days and had a blast. I have never been there and Danny hasn't been there since he was little. It was absolutely beautiful. The weather was perfect and the scenery was spectacular! Here are a few pics of that trip!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRYNNLEY!!

Our little angel baby, Brynnley, turned 2 years old on October 20th, and we had a fun celebration to honor the occasion. I can't believe how fast time has flown. We went to the cemetery and the kids let some balloons go "up to heaven for Brynnley" (Savannah and Avery's idea, which has already become a tradition) and then we had cupcakes after singing and blowing out the candles.

We miss her so much, but there have been several times in the last couple of years when we have felt her spirit. We feel like she giggles when we are goofing around and being silly and she comforts us when we are feeling a little sad. The love we feel from our beautiful little girl is tangible and we are forever grateful to our Heavenly Father for the blessing of eternal families. And I love knowing that she is in a wonderful place full of love and the light of our Savior. It also warms my heart to think that Brynnley is with her best bud, Jordyn. I like to think that they are together helping their families endure to the end! :) Keep it up cutie-patooties!

We love you, Brynn...Happy Birthday!!!

Studio Time!

The kids and I got to go up to the studio where Danny has been recording and listen while he recorded two more songs for his album! We had a great time hangin' out and getting in the way! We loved it!

HEE HAW FARMS!!!

We went to Hee Haw farms recently and had such a grand time!! We were able to have yummy donuts and hot chocolate after we got to experience the joy of holding a squealing piglet for the first time. :) "Wilbur" would squeal like a...well, like a pig when you picked him up, but then he'd calm right down when you snuggled him close. So cute! They had a fun petting zoo, so the kids were able to catch and hold a chicken, pet some bunnies, and a baby cow as well as some goats. We had a great time!! My favorite part was seeing my kids wonder and delight whether it was going down the slide, riding a pony or holding the animals. I also secretly enjoyed holding "Wilbur". :) hehehe

Happy Fall, everyone!!

Rasmussen Reunion 2008

Wow, what a great day! It was so much fun to see everyone, to catch up on all the latest news, to see new babies and toddlers that used to be babies the last time I checked. :) Thanks to all those that took the time to make it such a fabulous day for the rest of us. And I'm so glad that everyone came! 100 people! That is quite the reunion. It was wonderful to see you all. Here on some pictures of that day...there were three-legged races and a variety show, games for the kids and of course, scrumptious food!! Way to go, party planners! Sure love ya!

Lehi 10th ward Young Women

I just wanted to show off some of the young women in my ward. I love working with these girls. In the picture are my beehives from left to right: Paris, Sierra, Megan, Mari, Mckenna, Nichole, Shyanne and Shelby. Shelby leaned in at the very last second, that's why she got cut off. :) This picture was taken at The Gardens at Thanksgiving Point.

It's coming!!

Finally! Danny has started recording songs for his first solo album! I cannot wait for him to do this. It's been a long process, getting to the point of actually recording, but it will have been worth it. I've heard most of the songs and can honestly say that they are fantastic! I can't wait for all of you to hear it. You will not be disappointed. It is scheduled for release on November 1st.
He is going to ROCK the world!!!
(I'm only biased a little, teensy bit.
It really will be a fabulous
album and we can't wait
to share it with everyone!)
Love you all!
